Nashville, Tennessee (January 7, 2009) - Ambulatory Services of America, Inc. announced that it had completed the purchase of additional interests in ROSA of Georgia, LLC, a joint venture between ASA’s subsidiary, Radiation Oncology Services of America, Inc, and American Oncology Associates, LLC. Following the purchase, Radiation Oncology Services of America will own a majority interest in ROSA of Georgia.
ROSA of Georgia offers state-of-the-art cancer treatment services, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and high dose rate brachytherapy in its outpatient facilities. Four of ROSA of Georgia's facilities are affiliated with the Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care, the largest provider of oncology/hematology services in the Southeast and a national leader in cancer treatment and research. American Professional Associates, LLC - - a physician practice including 16 radiation oncologists - - will continue to provide physician services to patients being treated at the facilities and to serve as medical director of the facilities.
“As our relationship with ASA and ROSA has grown and matured, we have seen firsthand the benefits of having a strong, national company as a partner,” said Dale McCord, M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of American Professional Associates and American Oncology Associates. “We look forward to transitioning to the next phase of that relationship.

Providing the highest quality of care for our patients remains our mission, and ROSA of Georgia will continue to be focused on bringing the best treatment and service to cancer patients in Georgia and the Florida panhandle.”
